Overview

We are in search of an account manager to join our growing client service team. Founded by industry veterans, GovHawk provides personalized state and federal legislative and regulatory tracking solutions for government affairs professionals. We work organizations of all types including associations, non-profits, corporations, consultancies, law firms, and government agencies.

This position is responsible for onboarding new GovHawk customers and providing ongoing training and support to existing customers. This is a full-time salaried position. Qualifying candidates will have the option to work in Washington, D.C. area or from a suitable home-office location within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Be the primary contact for an assigned territory of customers

  • Onboard new customers by activating and personalizing their accounts

  • Providing in-person and web training to existing customers and new users

  • Responding to inbound calls and emails and providing first-level technical support

  • Assisting the sales team in finding upsell opportunities within existing accounts

  • Ensure assigned customers optimize the value of their services

  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and internal teams (e.g. technology)

Required Skills & Capabilities

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in customer support or similar roles

  • Proven ability to interact, train, and support customers

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Ability to learn new technologies

  • Strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, and communication skills

  • Background in public policy or government affairs

  • Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude

  • Keen attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

  • Self-motivation with excellent organization and follow-up skills
